Lauren Beth

Lauren fell in love with Pole Fitness after her first class in March 2015. Since then she has practised multiple times a week aiming to perfect her technique and found that it has transformed her mind and body in a way she never thought possible.

Lauren is keen to show that a dance or gymnastic background is not a prerequisite to becoming a talented pole dancer. Her own dance experience before pole was limited to a few ill fated ballet classes in her early teens where she got the sense she just didn't fit in. Prior to learning pole her main focus was running and she has completed several half and full marathons.

Lauren thinks pole has helped her achieve a wide variety of fitness goals as it is an incredible combination of cardio, flexibility and strength training. She wants to help others gain strength, flexibility and, most importantly, confidence in their body. She credits the pole community for helping her through challenging times and changing her perspective for the better so aims to make her classes a friendly and supportive place for students.

Lauren truly loves all aspects of pole dance, from hardcore strength training to choreographing beautiful routines and aims to help you achieve your own individual goal.

When she isn't poling, Lauren is either working at her busy financial services job, with her beloved Lhasa Apsos or, watching Netflix!

Lauren is a PDC Approved 3 Star Instructor, which means that she complies with the Pole Dance Community Code of Conduct and represents the highest level of professionalism and teaching quality within the fitness industry.

Sandy Whitby

Sandy joined Pole Place in April 2017 having previously trained at a more distant studio. Having a studio closer to home allows her to spend more time on the pole and still maintain her home and social life.

Sandy fell in love with pole and loves the challenges it brings. Pole has given her confidence both when training and in other aspects of her life.

Sandy doesn’t see teaching as a career move; it’s her passion to help others enjoy the benefits of feeling great. She loves to share with others and to be able to put something back into the pole community.

Sandy demonstrates that you don’t need to be an eighteen year old to be able to grasp the skills, and feels strongly that absolutely anyone can start at any time in their life.

Sandy trains a few times a week at the studio and at home. She has two grown up daughters and a grandson, and in her free time she enjoys long country walks, spending time with her grandson and still makes time for dancing ‘Ceroc’ modern jive with her gorgeous partner!
